3/10: Preparing the LATAM Trip 𧳠π
Since Paraguay is pretty far from Bulgaria, Diego and I decided to not just visit Paraguay for a few days, but to explore more of Latin America. We made a rough plan to travel for 2 months across Paraguay, Bolivia, Peru, and Colombia (eventually ended up traveling for 3 months and visiting fewer than the spots planned).
The Luggage
We both follow the "Less is more" life philosophy, and we very much applied it to our luggage preparation. We wanted to take as fewer objects as possible, so we could travel easily anywhere - by foot, bus, car, plane, motorbike...anything.
Fortunately, we found this amazing backback from Decathlon. It is one of the best purchases I have made over the years. Amazing product! Highly recommend it! Buy it, pre-prepare your luggage, and keep eliminating until it fits in the backpack.

Gathering the documents needed to apply for residency
Diego and I started slowly preparing my documents n late December by going around Bulgarian institutions and notarizing/legalizing documents. While it was not a super heavy lift, it took us about 45 days and β¬280 in fees/expenses to get all docs ready without rushing or paying for any expedite services. You can totally get the docs done for 14 days and a bit more in fees...if you are really in a hurry.
